About This Station
Our NorCal Weather forecasts covers the entire High Sierra's, Lake Tahoe, Lassen Volcanic National Park, Burney Falls, Shasta Cascade, Shasta Lake Area, from Mount Shasta to the Northern California Coast including the town of Fort Bragg all of the coastline north to Oregon stateline.
The station for Central Valley Weather is powered by a Davis Vantage Pro 2 weather station. The data is collected every 5 seconds and uploaded to the site every 20 seconds. This site and its data are collected using Cumulus Software. The station is comprised of an anemometer (mounted 33 ft. in the air), a rain gauge, thermo-hydro sensor, ultra violet light sensor and a solar radiation sensor that are situated in optimal positions for the highest accuracy possible. The station sits at an altitude of 423 ft. above sea level.
